Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel waves before boarding a plane on Joint Base Andrews, Md., Nov. 14, 2014, to begin a five-day trip across the country to meet with the men and women of the Defense Department. The trip includes visits to Minot Air Force Base, N.D., Fort Irwin, Calif., Fort Campbell, Ky., and Camp LeJeune, N.C.
