GRANT APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR LA COUNTY-BASED ARTS ORGANIZATIONS INTERESTED IN FUNDING

Free Technical Support Workshops Available For
Organizations Considering Applying

Applications are available for the 2015-16 Organizational Grant Program (OGP).  The program provides regional nonprofit arts organizations support to address their priority needs and ensure they continue to provide cultural services to the diverse communities that comprise Los Angeles County.  Guidelines and application are available at lacountyarts.org/grantsapply. Deadlines vary between October-November 2014 – see below for specific dates.
The Arts Commission provides grants to approximately 200 arts organizations annually through the OGP to provide arts services. Made possible through the generosity of the Board of Supervisors, grants for concerts, theatre and dance productions, exhibitions, in-school and out-of-school arts education and core operations help these organizations enrich the lives of County residents in large and small communities alike. OGP provides two-year grants to nonprofit arts organizations.
Seven workshops will be held throughout the County between September 18 and October 27 for new and returning applicants to the Organizational Grant Program (OGP). These two-part workshops will each include a section on the OGP including a walkthrough of the guidelines, which have been recently updated, eligibility requirements and tips on submitting strong proposals. Each workshop will also include a section on a particular technical assistance topic designed to strengthen applications. New applicants and applicants that did not receive funding the last time they applied to the OGP are required to attend a workshop. For detailed information and to register for a workshop, visitlacountyarts.org/grantsapply.
For more information about the OGP, email grants@arts.lacounty.gov or call(213) 202-5858.
