City of West Hollywood’s ‘WehoTV’ Expands Reach by Connecting with AT&T U-verse


WehoTV Programming is Now Available to Customers of

Time Warner Cable Within West Hollywood and

AT&T U-Verse Throughout the Southland Region

 

 

WEST HOLLYWOOD, September 2, 2014 – The City of West Hollywood is pleased to announce that its television network, WehoTV, and its public access and bulletin board channels, are dramatically expanding reach by joining with AT&T U-verse. WehoTV provides access to coverage of City government meetings and issues. It also produces and presents informational and cultural programming for the diverse population of West Hollywood.


"The addition of WehoTV channels to the AT&T U-verse lineup will bring West Hollywood programming back into many households that have been without it for too long," said West Hollywood Mayor John D'Amico. "Expanding the broadcast reach to as many residents as possible is vital to my commitment to transparency at City Hall."


There are approximately 1,900 AT&T U-verse customers in the City of West Hollywood who will now receive WehoTVprogramming. In addition, WehoTV will now be available to approximately 393,000 AT&T U-verse customers throughout the Southland region in five Counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernadino, and Ventura.


WehoTV connects community members within the City of West Hollywood and interested viewers from outside the City to timely programming about civic life in West Hollywood. This includes live broadcasts of key meetings, such as meetings of the West Hollywood City Council and selected Commissions, as well as designated meetings regarding projects and events. WehoTV also produces original programming including: WehoTV News, a twice-monthly news report anchored by Larry Carroll; and #trending, a magazine-style talk show hosted by Tracy Savage.


As part of the City of West Hollywood's ongoing commitment to the arts, WehoTV also broadcasts shows produced by the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. These popular programs include more than fifty titles covering a very broad range of arts and artists.


AT&T U-verse customers across Southern California can now accessWehoTV on channel 99. Subscribers can tune in to the City's bulletin board broadcast and public access station by selecting channel 99 and choosing from an alphabetical listing of Public, Educational, and Governmental (PEG) channels listed in the channel 99 drop-down menu.


WehoTV programs are available to Time Warner Cable customers within the City of West Hollywood on channel 10. The City's bulletin board broadcast is provided on channel 6 and West Hollywood's public access station is available on channel 36.
